Israel Finances Hamas-Ruled Gaza

JERUSALEM [MENL] -- Israel has reported financing the Hamas-ruled Gaza
Strip, the launching pad for missile and rocket strikes on the Jewish state.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry has reported the transfer of what officials
said amounted to millions of dollars per month to bolster the civil service
and economy of the Gaza Strip. They said the money paid the salaries of
thousands of former Palestinian Authority employees, many of whom now worked
for the Hamas regime, banned by European Union and United States.
