Iran Plans Additional Satellites
NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran, flushed from the launch of its first indigenous
satellite, plans to assemble and place into space orbit another four
platforms.
Officials said Iran was producing four satellites for launch over the
next three years. They said the satellites would be placed into space orbit
by Iran's Safir-2 space launch vehicle.
"There are now four other satellites being manufactured by Iranian
experts," Iranian Telecommunications Minister Mohammed Suleimani said.
"Details about these four satellites will be announced subsequent to their
final preparation."
