Israeli Firm Wins Defense Contract In S. Korea
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- An Israeli defense major has won a contract in South
Korea.
Elbit Systems has been awarded a contract to supply advanced
helmet-mounted systems to the South Korean Army's Korean Utility Helicopter
program. Under the contract, the Israeli company would supply prime
contractor, Korea Aerospace Industries advanced helmet-mounted display
systems.
"We are very pleased to be selected by KAI for one of the largest and
most prestigious helicopter programs in recent years," Yoram Shmuely, a
general manager of Elbit Systems' Aerospace Division, said.
