Turkey Sends Satellite Into Orbit
ANKARA [MENL] -- A Turkish telecommunications satellite has been placed into
space orbit.
A French-origin Ariane-5 rocket fired a Turkish telecommunications
satellite, TurkSat-3A, into orbit. The rocket, which also carried a British
military satellite, took off on June 12 from the European Space Agency in
Kourou in French Guiana on the northeast coast of South America.
