Germans Acquire Stake In Saudi Engine Firm

PARIS [MENL] -- A leading European company has purchased an interest in a
Saudi engine company.
Germany's MTU Aero Engines has agreed to acquire a stake in the
Saudi-based Middle East Propulsion Co., or MPEC, a supplier to the Royal
Saudi Air Force. Executives said a contract was signed that would
enhance MTU's maintenance, repair and overhaul services in Saudi Arabia and
the rest of the Gulf region.
