PA Receives Another Battalion From Jordan

RAMALLAH [MENL] -- The Palestinian Authority has been preparing to deploy
another battalion of security forces trained in neighboring Jordan.
Officials said about 600 members of the National Security Forces
returned from a four-month training course outside Amman, Jordan in June
2009. They said the battalion represented an intensified U.S.-led effort to
prepare PA security forces to take over the West Bank in 2010.
