Iraqi Police Uses Robots To Battle VBIEDs

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- Iraqi police have begun using robots to battle car bombs
in major cities.
Officials said the Iraqi police were training crews to operate
U.S.-designed robots for counter-insurgency missions. They said the
training, located at Baghdad's Camp Liberty, was based on simulators meant
to enhance operating skills.
"The National Police conduct route clearance operations now," U.S. Army
Staff Sgt. Joseph Ray, an instructor, said. "They see the threats now."
