Radar Tested For BMD System Ordered By UAE

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- An advanced radar has undergone testing for a missile
defense system ordered by the United Arab Emirates.
A U.S. company has completed integration and testing of the AN/TPY-2
X-band radar system. The radar, manufactured by Raytheon, was deemed a key
component for the Terminal High Altitude Air Defense, or THAAD, system,
requested by the UAE and ordered by the U.S. Army.
