U.S. OKs AEW Upgrade For Saudis

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has approved an airborne
early-warning upgrade for Saudi Arabia.
The Defense Department has informed Congress that Saudi Arabia requested
an upgrade of communications, navigation and surveillance for the air
force's AEW fleet. The Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency said
the modernization project would cost $1.5 billion.
