Syria Receives Advanced Russian ADS

MOSCOW [MENL] -- Syria has been receiving an advanced Russian air defense
system.
Russian defense executives said Moscow has approved the delivery of the
Pantsyr-S1E air defense system to Syria. They said the first shipment of the
96K6 Pantsyr, produced by Instrument Design Bureau, or KBP, arrived in July
2009.
