Israeli Firm Tests New UAV

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- An Israeli defense major has tested a new unmanned aerial
vehicle meant for naval operations.
Elbit Systems said its Hermes-90 UAV completed a successful test of its
heavy fuel engine, which employs fuel used in jet aircraft. Executives said
the use of JP-8 heavy fuel, meant to replace the more hazardous automobile
gasoline, would facilitate refueling, launch and recovery aboard naval
surface ships.
