Yemen Govt. Under Siege
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Yemen was said to have been threatened with collapse, a
report said.
The Center for New Politics and Policy has asserted that the regime of
Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has confronted a range of threats
believed sponsored by foreign adversaries. In a report by senior fellow
Webster Brooks, the center cited the Shi'ite revolt, Al Qaida insurgency and
secession in the south.
