Syrian-Iranian Ties Tense Over Nukes

LONDON [MENL] -- Iran has demanded the return of nuclear material from Syria
in what has sparked a decline in relations between the two allies.
Western intelligence sources said Iran has demanded the return of tons
of uranium relayed to Syria for its plutonium production program. The program
was suspended when Israel bombed a suspected plutonium facility in Dir Al
Zour in 2007.
