RUSSIA WILL HELP IRAQ CLEAR MINES

MOSCOW [MENL] -- Russia plans to help Iraq clear an estimated 450,000 minesleft over from wars over the last two decades. Russian officials said this was one of several agreements reached inBaghdad between Iraq and a delegation headed by Russian Emergencies MinisterRuslan Tsalikov. The two countries signed an agreement on Sunday in Baghdadthat would launch cooperation in civil defense and establish a mine-clearcenter.
