PA TURNS DOWN U.S. PROPOSALS ON JERUSALEM

RAMALLAH [MENL] -- The Palestinian Authority has turned down U.S. proposalsthat the issue of Jerusalem be delayed. PA sources said the Clinton administration made the proposal amid thedispute between Israel and the Palestinians regarding the status of the OldCity and the Temple Mount. The PA also rejected several Israeli and U.S.proposals that would share sovereignty.
