SYRIA'S SUMMIT CALL ECHOES THROUGHOUT ARAB LEAGUE

CAIRO [MENL] -- Syria's call for an Arab League summit appears to be winningsupport throughout the organization. Arab diplomatic sources said colleagues of Syrian Foreign MinisterFarouk A-Shaara are agreeing to the call by Damascus for an Arab Leaguesummit over the next few months. They said the call is supported by Egypt,regarded as the leader of the Arab world.
