PA CLERIC WARNS AGAINST ISRAELI EXCAVATIONS

JERUSALEM [MENL] -- The Palestinian Authority-appointed mufti of Jerusalemhas again accused Israel of endangering the Al Aksa mosque on the TempleMount. Sheik Ikram Sabri said Israeli excavations in the area could damage thefoundations of the mosque. The mufti said Israeli authorities are excavatingnear the southern wall of the mosque complex.
