TURKEY'S MILITARY FEARS EU MEMBERSHIP

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey's military is concerned over the effect of Ankara'smembership inthe European Union. The main fear, officials said, is that EU membership will prevent themilitary from fighting Islamic and Kurdish insurgency in the country. This,they said, would revive separatist campaigns in the southeast.
