JERUSALEM [MENL] -- The United States has quietly shelved the prospect ofanother summit between Israel and the Palestinians. Israeli and U.S. officials said President Bill Clinton reached thisconclusion after separate meetings last week with Israeli Prime MinisterEhud Barak and Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat. The officialssaid Clinton found that neither Middle East leader had budged in hisposition since the Camp David summit in July.
