TURKEY INCREASES ROLE IN NATO RAPID DEPLOYMENT

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey wants to increase its role in NATO's rapiddeployment force. Under the plan, NATO will bolster the alliance's rapid deploymentforces, the headquarters of which will be in Istanbul. Three units will beformed, meant to fight in different fronts.
