OPEC INSISTS SUPPLY IS BEYOND DEMAND

LONDON [MENL] -- OPEC says that despite rising oil prices supply is waybeyond demand. But the 11-member cartel said in a statement that it is prepared toincrease oil production output to dampen prices.
