BOEING COMPLETES FLIGHT OF JSF
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The Boeing Co. has completed the first flight of itsJoint Strike Fighter demonstrator in what was described as a significantstep toward deciding a winner in the $100 billion Pentagon project. Executives said the Boeing Joint Strike Fighter X-32A conceptdemonstrator flew on Monday from Palmdale, Calif. to Edwards Air Force Base.The flight, which was trimmed from 40 to 20 minutes because of whatexecutives called a minor hydraulic leak, marks the entry of the Boeingdemonstrator into a five-month flight-test program at Edwards.
