COS ADDRESSES CABINET; MILITARY CUTS APPROVED

JERUSALEM [MENL] -- The Cabinet ignored the appeals of its military chiefand approved a cut in Israel's defense budget. The vote was nine for, two against and three abstentions to approve a240 billion shekel [$59.4 billion] budget. The defense budget was set at37.4 billion shekel.
