IRAN LAUNCHES NEW MILITARY EXERCISES

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has launched fresh military exercises meant todemonstrate its strength toward neighboring Iraq. Officials said Iran is staging several maneuvers to mark the 20thanniversary of the war with Iraq. This includes a month-long exercise by theBasij militia and five days of naval exercises in the Gulf.
