U.S., ISRAEL LOOKING FOR MORE FUNDING FOR THEL

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Army, flushed with last week's success indestroying a salvo of rockets, seeks Pentagon funding for an advanced laserweapon being developed with Israel. The army wants the funding for a mobile version of the Tactical HighEnergy Laser that would be suitable for deployment by both U.S. and Israeliforces. The Pentagon has not pressed for such development.
