RECONCILIATION TALKS FAIL IN SUDAN

CAIRO [MENL] -- Sudan has failed to reconcile with southern rebels. Arab diplomatic sources said reconciliation talks between the regime inKhartoum and the Sudanese People's Liberation Army failed to achieveprogress. The talks were the first in years between the regime and thenon-Islamic SPLA.
