WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The Clinton administration, amid concern of a Turkishbacklash, has blocked the House of Representatives from voting on a billthat blames the genocide of Armenians on Ankara. Officials said the White House has exerted heavy pressure on thecongressional leadership to stop the full House from voting on the Armeniangenocide bill amid threats by Turkey to ban U.S. companies from energy andmilitary projects.
