ISRAEL WINS U.S. ARMY VEHICLE CONTRACT
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's largest defense company has won a contract forthe development of a system for the U.S. Army that can help remove landmines. Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd., Lod, has won a $500,000 contract todevelop the Severe Duty Vegetation Shredder, a vehicle-based system meant toremove dense vegetation from suspected areas laden with anti-personnellandmines.
