U.S. IGNORED IRAQI, N. KOREAN NUKE THREAT
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States ignored years of intelligencewarnings that Iraq and North Korea were developing nuclear weapons. U.S. National Security Adviser Samuel Berger said previousadministrationsignored intelligence reports in the 1980s that Baghdad and Pyongyang werebuilding a nuclear arsenal. The reference was to the administration ofPresidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush.
