MOROCCO REDUCES TIES WITH ISRAEL

CAIRO [MENL] -- Morocco has joined Tunisia and Oman in reducing ties withIsrael. Rabat has ordered closed an Israeli liasion office in Rabat as well asthe Moroccan liaison bureau in Tel Aviv. The Moroccan Foreign Ministry saidthe decision was made in protest of what it termed asthe "failure of the peace process following the inhuman acts perpetrated forweeks by the Israeli forces against Palestinians and the resort to themachinery of war to kill innocent civilians." Morocco and Israel opened liasion offices in 1994. The move followedannouncements by Oman and Tunisia that they are closing their commercialoffices in Israel.
