LOCKHEED FLIES ITS JSF DEMONSTRATOR
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Lockheed Martin, playing catch up to its rival Boeing,has conducted its first test-flight of its version of the Joint StrikeFighter in the competition for the new multi-role fighter for the UnitedStates. The L-M version of the JSF took off on Tuesday from Palmdale, Calif. toEdwards Air Force Base. The X-35A demonstrator flew to an altitude of 10,000feet and performed maneuvers.
