ISRAEL LOBBIES AGAINST RUSSIAN ARMS SALES

MOSCOW [MENL] -- Israel is trying to woo Russia away from selling weapons tothe Arab world. Israeli envoys have been meeting with the Russian leadership in Moscowand have offered lucrative cooperation agreements in defense marketing andhi-tech development in exchange for reducing arms exports to Iran and Syria.The envoys have warned that despite soaring oil prices the Arab economieswill not be able to sustain massive weapons purchases.
