TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel, reeling from its cancellation of a lucrativeairborne early-warning contract with Beijing, has launched a new marketingdrive toward China. Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd., forced to suspend the sale of thePhalcon system to the Chinese air force, plans to focus on civilianaerospace projects with China. This includes wooing the Chinese to upgradeand convert their civilian passenger and transport aircraft.
