SENATE PASSES NEW SANCTIONS BILL ON IRAN, LIBYA

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- A key Senate panel has passed a bill that would extendsanctions for up to five years on Iran and Libya. The Senate Banking Committee followed the House and approved anextension of the Iran-Libya Sanctions Act. The vote on Wednesday was 20-1.
