BRIGHT STAR EXERCISE IS DILUTED BY AFGHAN STRIKES

CAIRO [MENL] -- A major military exercise launched in Egypt has beendiverted by the U.S.-led attack on Afghanistan. The biannual Bright Exercise began without a U.S. commander and amidconcerns that many of the American soldiers would be withdrawn during thecourse of the maneuvers. The first stage of the exercise began on Monday andis comprised of training.
