UNDER KUWAITI PRESSURE, BELARUS DENIES ARMS SALES TO IRAQ

MOSCOW [MENL] -- Belarus, under pressure from Kuwait, has denied allegationsof weapons sales to Iraq. Belarus officials have told their Kuwaiti counterparts that Minsk hasbeen complying with the United Nations sanctions and rejected reports thatthe former Soviet republic is upgrading Iraqi anti-aircraft systems andfighter-jets.
