CONCERNS OVER SAFETY OF GULF SHIPPING

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Concerns have been raised over the safety of shippingroutes in the Persian Gulf. Industry sources said the concern has been raised by companies andowners of freight amid new tariffs that reflect a war risk premium. Thepremium was imposed soon after the Sept. 11 Islamic suicide attacks on NewYork and Washington.
