CYPRUS WILL HOUSE U.S. MISSILE DEFENSE FACILITY

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Cyprus is believed to have been targeted for the site of aU.S. missile defense facility. The facility will be stationed at a British air force base on thedivided island. So far, neither London nor Washington hasconfirmed this. Instead, the British military has said it is building a60-meter antenna that has aroused protests in the Republic of Cyprus.
