GREECE PREPARES FOR NEW CHIEF OF STAFF

ATHENS [MENL] -- Greece is preparing to appoint a new military chief ofstaff. The appointment will be made by the powerful Government Council forForeign Affairs and Defense. The panel -- composed of government and defensechiefs -- will meet on Thursday to make the selection.
