ATHENS [MENL] -- Greece plans to make a final decision on suspended weaponsprocurement programs by the end of the year. Officials said the government of Prime Minister Costas Simitis wants towait until a European Union decision regarding membership of the Republic ofCyprus before Athens approves new weapons programs. Cyprus is Greece'sstrategic ally and the EU accession issue for Nicosia has raised tensionwith neighboringTurkey.
