ISRAEL LEAVES BETHLEHEM IN WAKE OF ATTACK
JERUSALEM [MENL] -- Israel has withdrawn from a major West Bank city in wakeof the killing of five people in Palestinian attacks. Israeli troops left the Bethlehem area overnight Monday after a meetingof the Cabinet of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Tanks and troops also werepulled out of Bet Jallah, the launching pad for attacks on neighboringJerusalem. Israel's military presence in the area lasted 10 days.
