SHARON PRESSED TO LAUNCH OFFENSIVE AGAINST PA

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is pressing for animmediate meeting with U.S. President George Bush to discuss a militarycampaign against Palestinian terrorism. Aides said Sharon wants to relay to Bush an urgent message that Israelmust respond to the latest wave of Palestinian attacks in Israeli cities.The aides said Sharon could seek a green light for an Israeli attack thatwould topple the Palestinian Authority.
