JORDAN IMPOSES VISA RESTRICTIONS ON LEBANESE

AMMAN [MENL] -- Jordan has imposed new visa restrictions on Lebanesenationals in the wake of several attempts by Hizbullah to smuggle weaponsthrough the Hashemite kingdom to the Palestinian Authority. The restrictions would end the granting of visas to Lebanese along theborders with Jordan. Instead, starting Wednesday, Lebanese will have toapply for visas in advance.
