JORDAN SEEKS WEAPONS FROM RUSSIA

AMMAN [MENL] -- Jordan plans to examine the prospect of weapons purchasesfrom Russia. Officials said the issue will be raised during the visit by Jordan'sKing Abdullah to Moscow later this month. This would be the first effort inyears by the Hashemite kingdom to obtain Russian defense systems.
