JORDAN OPENS NEW EXPLORATORY WELL

AMMAN [MENL] -- Jordan plans to launch a new exploratory well near the DeadSea. Officials said the project will be headed by a U.S. energy firm. TransGlobal Petroleum Jordan will open the Issal-1 well on Tuesday in Ghor Safinear the Dead Sea. The company is an affiliate of the Houston-based TransGlobal Petroleum Exploration.
