LEBANON LOSES LUSTER AS MARKETING HUB

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Lebanon is losing its promise as a marketing hub forWestern defense firms. Defense industry sources said several European defense companies havesuspended plans to explore establishing offices in Beirut as part of a driveto increase sales in the Middle East. The sources cite the global economicslump as well as heightened tension in Lebanon.
