LOCKHEED MARTIN TAPPED FOR JSF CONTRACT
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Lockheed Martin is believed to have beaten Boeing forthe $200 billion contract to develop the Joint Strike Fighter for the U.S.military. Government and industry sources said Lockheed Martin's design andprototype were deemed as superior to that of Boeing. The sources saidLockheed Martin's continued production of the F-16 was also a factor in thedecision.
