RAMALLAH [MENL] -- Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat is said tohave turned down a proposal to establish a national unity government thatwould include the Islamic opposition. PA sources said Arafat has rejected appeals from supporters to reshuffleor enlarge the Cabinet to include Hamas and Islamic Jihad members. Thesources said Arafat feels that the Islamic opposition has sufficientinfluence through a committee that directs the Palestinian war againstIsrael.
