SAUDIS PLEDGE TO INCREASE SUPPORT FOR MILITARY

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Saudi leaders, plagued by internal unrest, are pledgingto increase support for the military. Saudi defense chiefs have been touring military bases around the kingdomand meeting with both senior and junior officers. The tours have beendescribed as a Saudi review of military assets to ensure readiness amidincreasing tension in the Persian Gulf.
