SUDAN, TUNISIA CLASH OVER SPY ARREST
CAIRO [MENL] -- Sudan and Tunisia have clashed amid the arrest of a Sudanesespy ring alleged to have provided information that implicated Khartoum ininternational terrorism since 1993. Sudanese officials and media reports said Tunis has been identified ashelping the spy ring in Khartoum. The ring was said to have forged hundredsof documents meant to implicate the regime of Sudanese President Omar Bashirin support for Islamic insurgency, including plots to kill EgyptianPresident Hosni Mubarak. A Tunisian national was one of seven people arrested on charges ofespionage. On Wednesday, Tunis recalled its ambassador to Khartoum, MohammedBalaji.
